The second chapter opened, Spanish Peaks Chapter is the primary chapter serving the Huerfano County region. It is based out of the Spanish Peaks Library District in Walsenburg, Colorado. The chapter is headed by deputy chairman, Ptolemy Withrow.

The chapter host meetings twice a week at the SPLD. They are almost always 4pm to 5pm afterschool Monday and Thursday.
